In February, 2018 , Rick Pope hosted a group of 6 anglers in one of our Single Occupancy Camps on the Upper Jufari River. Rick's group of fly and conventional anglers landed an impressive 1,543 Peacock Bass including 16 over 10 lbs. In addition to the impressive number of Peacock Bass, the group caught a number of other species including Traira, Jacunda, Piranha, Pacu, Dogfish, Oscars and Bicuda.
A member of both the Texas Skeet Hall of Fame and the National Skeet Hall of Fame, Rick spent his early years roaming the woods and waters of central Texas. After leaving Wall Street twenty years ago, Rick returned to his outdoor roots and founded Springbrook / Temple Fork Outfitters - forever changing the face of the fly fishing.
