Alaska Hunting
Our hunts are conducted in two main regions, Kodiak Island, and the Alaska Peninsula. These are all done on federal land, and where our guides are the only ones permitted to hunt these areas. All of our hunts are fair chase, spot and stalk types.
Kodiak Island
Brown Bear, Mountain Goat, and Sitka Blacktail Deer are all species that we hunt on Kodiak Island within Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge lands where we have a sole guide use area. Our guides are the only ones allowed to take hunters in these areas. The brown bears here can be some of the largest on Earth, with skulls at the very top of Boon & Crockett record books. The island supports very healthy populations of these amazing animals, harvested in the 9’-10’ range. Hunting brown bear is certainly the pinnacle of North American hunting, and one of the premier big game species in the world. Mountain goats in this area hold up in much more rugged terrain and can be a very satisfying challenge as one of the greatest accomplishments a hunter can achieve. The Sitka Blacktail deer often are taken during bear or goat hunts and can be a great add-on to any hunt.
Alaska Peninsula
Brown Bear and Moose are the two main species we hunt on the Alaska Peninsula in the Aniakchak National Preserve, Alaska Peninsula National Wildlife Refuge, and the Becharof National Wildlife Refuge on sole use guide areas. The brown bears on the Alaska Peninsula regularly go in the 9-foot range and can go often into the 10’ range. A limited number of moose are taken each year, with most in the 60-65” range, with each year one or two in the 70” range. A large bull moose is one of the most magnificent animals a hunter can harvest!
